COLLECTION OF CALENDARS

The collection contains calendars issued in the period from the middle of the 19th century to 2014. The most important part of the collection is a series of annual calendars of the Svetozarevo Cable Factory, whose concept was conceived and graphically designed by the designer of this factory Slobodan Selenić (1936-1994), one of the pioneers of graphic design in Serbia. He choosed various topics from Serbian culture, history and ethnography as a main theme of this calendars. The calendars of the Svetozarevo Cable Factory were issued in the period from 1966 to 1991, and were especially noted both in the country and abroad. The collection also includes various calendars printed in the period between the two world wars, of which those with a memorandum or advertisement of craft workshops and factories in Pomoravlje are especially important. Calendars printed during the First and Second World Wars are also kept in the fund.
