The main part originates from the ex-collection of the Homeland Museum in \u0106uprija containing artefacts excavated at the site of Horreum Margi, the most important Roman fortress in Pomoravlje. This fortification, situated in the middle of the Morava basin, in the vicinity of the Danube limes, had developed as a military-supply point for the Roman legions stationed throughout the Empire. Horreum (grain warehouse) Margi served as the point for collecting grain, as well as the craft and trade center and the seat of imperial armoury workshop founded in 4<sup>th<\/sup> C. Among the objects from Horreum Margi numerous works of the Roman applied art stand out as jewelry (fibulae, bracelets, necklaces, gems, decorative bone pins), small bronze statuary, cultic objects as well as items for everyday use &#8211; glass and ceramic vessels, lamps, bone objects, parts of mirrors, as well as technical ceramics.<\/p><p>In 1967 the Roman Mithreum in Dragovo, the village in Leva\u010d, was excavated by the Regional Museum of Jagodina resulting in numerous finds which include cult pottery vessels, coins, a small limestone icon depicting tauroctony (the scene with a bull slaying from the Mithra\u2019s cult), as well as small bronze fibula which was later chosen for the logo of the Regional Museum of Jagodina.<\/p><p>A significant number of ancient objects derive from the 1985-1988 archeological excavations of the site &#8220;Jerinin grad&#8221; near Jagodina, while the latest acquisitions have been discovered during excavations conducted 2012-2018 at the site &#8220;Jerinin grad&#8221; in the Bagrdan Gorge (pottery, weapons, tools, bone, antler and glass objects, jewelry).<\/p><p><em>Curator: <a
