On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Prokuplje in the Second World War, a scientific gathering called “War Crimes of the Bulgarian Army in the South of Serbia” was organized in Prokuplje and Prolom Banja. The meeting was held in the period from November 29 to December 1, 2019. The organizers of the gathering were the National Museum of Toplica and the section of historians of the Museum Society of Serbia. The Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia financially assisted in holding the gathering. Twenty two historians from Belgrade, Novi Sad, Sombor, Jagodina, Zaje\u010dar, Kraljevo and Ni\u0161 participated in the gathering and presented 15 works in two days. In addition to the famous writer Ivan Ivanovi\u0107, the participants in the gathering were historians from the Museum of Vojvodina in Novi Sad, the Pedagogical Museum and the Museum of Genocide Victims in Belgrade, the Faculty of Pedagogy in Sombor, the Museum in Kraljevo, Ni\u0161, Zaje\u010dar and Jagodina. The international character of the gathering was also given by two colleagues from Bulgaria. Du\u0161ko Grbovi\u0107, a historian, museum advisor at the Regional Museum of Jagodina, who is also the secretary of the section of historians of the Museum Society of Serbia, also participated in the work of the gathering. He presented a paper entitled “Liberation of Jagodina and surrounding places October 1944”. The paper presents data based on previously published sources as well as on the material that is in the funds of the Regional Museum of Jagodina. The presented data significantly supplement the facts presented in the second edition of the book “Pomoravlje in the National Liberation Struggle and the Revolution 1941-1945” (published in 1987), which are based on archival material kept in the Historical Archive in Jagodina.<\/p>\n

The papers from the scientific gathering were printed as a special unit in the professional journal Topli\u010dki zbornik, number 5, which was published in 2020.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
