In the period from May 13 to 19, the manifestation “Museums for 10” will be held in Serbia for the ninth time. The event includes: European Night of Museums (May 13), International Museum Day (May 18) and National Museum Week. The Regional museum of Jagodina joins this event for the sixth time.<\/strong><\/p>

The main event will be the exhibition of Slobodan \u0160teti\u0107, which will be opened on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 7 p.m. Slobodan \u0160tetic is one of the most successful visual artists in Jagodina. He has been engaged in photography, painting and graphic design for almost 50 years. He devoted himself to pedagogical work in the last two decades, and today he is a full professor at the University of Kragujevac. This exhibition will present 34 of his new paintings made in the oil on canvas technique, created in the past few years, which can be divided into three thematic units: abstract compositions, still lifes and vedutes. The author of the exhibition is Jasmina Trajkov, art historian, museum advisor. The exhibition is scheduled to last until June 11, 2023.<\/p>

On the day of the beginning of the manifestation, May 13, when the European Night of Museums also takes place, the exhibition “Manasija Monastery – six decades of research and protection” will be opened in the Senjski Rudnik Coal Mining Museum at 7 p.m., co-authored by Smiljana Dodi\u0107, archaeologist, museum advisor. This exhibition presents the results of several decades of research and conservation work of the Republic Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments in the Manasija monastery complex, and was premiered in Jagodina in 2014. The exhibition will be open until May 31, 2023.<\/p>

On the occasion of the 110th<\/sup> anniversary of the Balkan Wars, on Wednesday, May 17, at 7 p.m., a lecture will be held in the Gallery of the Regional Museum of Jagodina entitled: “Materials from the collections of the Regional Museum of Jagodina about Jagodina and its surroundings in the Balkan Wars of 1912\u20131913.” years”. The lecturer is Du\u0161ko Grbovi\u0107, historian, museum adviser. The subject of the lecture is the participation of people from the area of Jagodina and its surroundings in the Balkan Wars of 1912\u20131913. Various items (weapons, military equipment, archives, maps, photographs) tell about the events on the front and in the background. The intention is to say something more about the objects that are exhibited only with a legend and represent one segment of the exhibition setting. Each item has a certain significance that we want to point out and represents a special story.<\/p>

The working hours of the Regional Museum of Jagodina during the event are: May 13 (European Night of Museums) from 10 a.m. to midnight, and from May 15 to May 19 from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Entrance is free during this period.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
