ART PHOTOGRAPHY COLLECTION
A small, but important for monitoring the development of the native art scene, Collection of Art Photography contains works by two talented Jagodina artists Nikola Tatić and Slobodan Štetić, created mostly during the eighties of the 20th century. This is the period when the Photo-Cinema Club “Vuk Karadžić” was founded and was extremely active in Svetozarevo, today’s Jagodina, and whose most prominent members were Tatić and Štetić. While Nikola Tatić based his poetics on surrealism, Slobodan Štetić’s photographs are socially engaged. He especially stood out as a portraitist of “ordinary” people, most often members of socially endangered groups, but he also photographed well-known names of Serbian culture.
