With great joy we announce to the followers of our blog that an important book, dedicated to the nobility from the period of Serbian Despotate, has just been published. This study of over 700 pages was authored by Dr Miloš Ivanović, historian and senior research associate at the Historical Institute in Belgrade, being an extended text of his doctoral dissertation defended more than ten years ago. The book was published in the “Sabornik” series by our prominent publisher “Službeni glasnik”, and we are honored to point out that among its illustrations it displays archaeological objects from collections of Archaeological Department of our Museum, as well as photographs of monuments and material from documentation of Art Department of our Museum. The peer reviewers of Ivanović’s book were the historian Marko Šuica, PhD, full professor at the History Department o the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade, historian Srđan Rudić, PhD, research councilor at the Historical Institute in Belgrade, and art historian Branislav Cvetković, PhD, museum councilor at our Museum and senior research associate of the Institute for Balkan Studies at SASA.
