Оn May 16, 2023, the exhibition “Manasija Monastery – six decades of research and protection” will be opened in the Coal Mining Museum in Senjski Rudnik as a part of the manifestation “Museums for 10”. Compared to the original exhibition, which the Pomorаvlје audience had the opportunity to see at the Night of the Museum event in the Regional Museum of Jagodina in 2014 and the JUST OUT knight festivals in the Manasija monastery in 2015 and 2017, the exhibition presents findings from the latest research campaigns of this monastery complex in 2017 and 2018, when systematic research was completed within the walls of Manasija. The final preparations are underway, and each guest exhibition is a challenge for the authors to adequately present the exhibition setting in a different space, but also an opportunity to see well-known objects in a completely new light. In addition to archaeological artefacts from latest researches and copies of frescoes that are kept in the Regional Museum of Jagodina, the exhibition also includes 14 information panels derived from the documentation of the Republic Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments in Belgrade.
The public will be able to see this exhibition at the Coal Mining Museum in Senjski Rudnik until May 31, 2023.
