The manifestation “Museums for 10” will be held from May 14 to May 20, 2022, in more than 60 cities across Serbia. During seven days, the audience will be able to participate in the programs of more than 120 museums and related cultural institutions, at more than 180 locations. As part of the event, the European Museum Night will be held on Saturday, May 14, and we will also mark the International Museum Day on May 18, 2022.
This year the theme of the manifestation “Museums for 10” is “The Power of Museums” and it should be pointed out that museums have the power to transform the world, because they are fantastic places for new discoveries that teach about the past and present and inspire us with new ideas!
During the manifestation, all contents of the exhibition, permanent exhibitions, additional programs, interactive workshops for children, lectures, book promotions, and other activities are free.

The Regional Museum of Jagodina joined the event “Museums for 10” this year as well, and we have prepared the following program:
- Gallery of the Regional Museum of Jagodina, Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 7 pm: opening of the exhibition “Birth of Glassmaking in Serbia”, authors of the exhibition Smiljana Dodić and Jasmina Trajkov, museum advisors of the Regional Museum of Jagodina
- Regional Museum of Jagodina, Tuesday, May 17, 2022 from 6 to 8 pm: Creative workshop “Magic Jar”, the workshop is led by Sonja Perić, senior curator of the Regional Museum of Jagodina
- Regional Museum of Jagodina, Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 7 pm: Promotion of the museum’s editions, Dr. Branislav Cvetković and Jasmina Trajkov, museum advisors of the Regional Museum of Jagodina will speak at the promotion
- Regional Museum of Jagodina, Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 6 to 8 pm workshop “Creative Waste”, the workshop is led by Nevena Cvetković, senior curator of the Regional Museum of Jagodina
- Elementary school “Boško Đuričić” Jagodina, Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 11.30 am to 1 pm: lecture “From the collections of the Regional Museum of Jagodina – World War I in the war diaries of Dušan Dodić and Vojislav Marjanović”, lecturer Duško Grbović, museum advisor of the Regional Museum of Jagodina
- May 12 – 20 May 2022, photo contest “Photography in the Museum” – FUM 2022, topic: “The power of the museum – Regional Museum of Jagodina in the lens of Jagodina photographers”
