The first exhibition of our Museum in 2024 – which is also a jubilee one because in September we will celebrate the 70th anniversary since its foundation – will be officially opened in the Museum Gallery on Thursday, February 22, at 7 p.m.
The name of the exhibition is “Shape and Idea in Figure and Abstraction – Sculpture from the Regional Museum Jagodina”, because it is conceived as encounter of the audience with museum materials that have not been exhibited before, but also with the works that represent precious achievements of the art of sculpture. Forty selected exhibits reflect various styles in art as well as different events from history of Serbia, Yugoslavia and the Balkans, revealing a wide range of sculptural techniques and materials used.
The author of the exhibition is museum adviser Branislav Cvetković, an art historian, and the public will be able to visit the exhibition during the month of March.
