The competition for financing and co-financing projects in the field of cultural heritage in the Republic of Serbia, announced by the Ministry of Culture and Information, supported two projects of Regional Museum of Jagodina in the field of museum and archaeological heritage.
The project Conservation and Restoration of Metal Objects and Combined with Metal from the Fund of the Regional Museum of Jagodina was supported with 600,000 dinars, while 400,000 dinars were allocated for the project of Systematic Archaeological Prospecting of the Jagodina Region.
The project of rehabilitation, reconstruction and adaptation of the building of the Regional Museum (Old Sokol House) in Jagodina, the first phase of which was completed last year, continues this year with the development of the Preliminary design of rehabilitation, reconstruction and adaptation of the building of the Regional Museum of Jagodina. This project will be realized by the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade. With this project, we are going a step further with the works on the reconstruction and arrangement of the museum building, built in 1935 for the needs of the Sokol House, and which in 1987 was declared a cultural monument.
