Smiljana Dodić, archaeologist, museum advisor of the Regional Museum of Jagodina in the Archaeological Department. She is the head of a several archeological excavations of the Regional Museum of Jagodina and the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments in Kragujevac. She is the author and co-author of numerous exhibitions, as well as permanent exhibitions of the museum. A member of the research team of the Republic Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments of Serbia during the archeological excavations of the Manasija monastery. Also a member of the Serbian Archaeological Society, and a participant in about thirty research campaigns in the former Yugoslavia. Her research interests concern the material culture of the Middle Ages from the early Byzantine to the Ottoman period, numismatics and the study of ceramics.
Born in Jagodina, she graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade, Department of Archeology in 1993. She has been working at the Regional Museum of Jagodina since 1995. Professional titles: curator (1996), senior curator (2004), museum advisor (2018).
