On the occasion of the 50th festival „Days of Comedy“ in the Foyer of the Culture Center in Jagodina, the exhibition „Festival „Days of Comedy“ – beginnings and duration (1969–1972–-2023)“ was organized. The exhibition was created in cooperation between the Regional Museum of Jagodina and the Cultural Center “Svetozar Marković” Jagodina, and the authors are Duško Grbović, historian, museum advisor (Regional Museum of Jagodina) and Marija Vulić, art program editor (Cultural Center “Svetozar Marković” Jagodina). Duško Grbović is also the author of the text in the accompanying catalog, and the visual identity of the exhibition was designed by Marija Vulić.

The exhibition shows the history of the festival, looking back at the very beginnings of theater life in Jagodina, and therefore covers the period from 1832 to 2023. Posters, photographs, documents, various propaganda materials, tickets, newspapers, diplomas are presented on 56 exhibition boards, and the original models of the statuettes „Jovanča Micić“ and „Turkey“, the statuette „Joakim Vujić“, badges, pins, drawings of fine artist Žikica Jovanović and various publications are also exhibited. Most of the materials come from the Regional Museum of Jagodina, while the materials of the Jagodina Cultural Center and the Museum of Theater Arts of Serbia from Belgrade are represented to a lesser extent.

The extensive documentation about the „Days of Comedy“ festival, which is kept in the Regional Museum of Jagodina, was handed over for the purposes of creating the monograph „Half a century of struggle for laughter – „Days of Comedy”, the first fifty years“ authored by Aleksandar Milosavljević.

The exhibition „Festival „Days of Comedy“ – beginnings and duration (1969–1972–-2023)“ will be open until April 20, 2024.
